Når du skal eftermonter højttalere i din bil, så skal du ofte bruge en bilspecifikt højttalerramme, der er lavet til den enkelte bilmodel, for at bilen og de eftermonterede højttalere kan passe sammen.
En højttalerramme er tilpasset bilens interiør og gør det muligt, at montere et sæt standard højttalere i enten 4" (10 cm.), 5,25" (13 cm.), 6,5" (16,5 cm.), eller 8" (20 cm.) størrelse.
Husk at rammen skal tætnes ved montering, så den er vandtæt både mod karosseriet og mod højttaleren, så der ikke kan komme vand ind i bilen.
